It’s been a month since I started going to see a personal trainer. I modified my diet to be basically chicken and salad (but not chicken salad). My muscles have been sore and I’ve sweat more than I can remember. It’s been rewarding, though.
I’m not someone who enjoys working out. I don’t do the whole healthy, energetic lifestyle thing. I’m more Daria than Quinn. I do, however, find that I’m enjoying the idea of being healthier in general, and not having basic movement be a struggle or something I groan when I do. Things like sit-ups and push-ups shouldn’t be a huge ordeal.
Over the last month, I’ve lost 10lbs (4.5kg). It feels good to have lost the weight, but it also feels good to know that I can do these things with less effort.
Honestly, I never thought I’d look forward to spending time in a gym feeling like my heart is pounding out of my chest… but here we are.
